Red Gate Farm Education Center’s mission is to grow children who are hard-working, confident, and kind.

We believe farming is a powerful and creative tool that supports young people’s emotional and social learning.
Our staff are committed farmers and passionate educators.
We love to farm, and we love connecting young people with that joy.

Farm programs are impactful in many ways. Students at our farm learn about farming, but they also learn about themselves. Working the garden, caring for animals or driving a 1-ton ox - these students of ours become kinder, stronger, more confident members of our community and of the world.

We have a firm belief that all youngsters should be able to benefit from our programs, and to that end, we provide an average of $100,000 in financial aid each year to families and students who want to attend our programs. This means hundreds of children who would not otherwise be able to come to the farm are getting the experience of a lifetime.

Reflections from our School Programs:

"The entire program experience was incredibly rewarding. It provided a perfect balance of hands-on learning, teamwork, and connection. The students were fully engaged with every activity, and it was clear that the farm staff created an environment where curiosity was encouraged and exploration was at the forefront. The sense of community was also incredibly powerful. From sitting down for meals together to working alongside the staff, we all felt like part of something much bigger. This program truly fosters a sense of belonging, learning, and growth."

"Red Gate Farm has been such a meaningful part of my kiddo’s summers. She gets to explore, try new things, and grow in confidence, all within a setting that feels safe and joyful. She especially loves being with the animals – caring for them has taught her responsibility in a way that feels fun and meaningful. Every year she comes home more confident, grounded, and excited to go back. It’s a camp that truly nurtures kids in a unique and lasting way.
